Speed up your computer by cleaning RAM using notepad

If your computer become slow, when you are working with many programs. It may be due to RAM because at that time RAM is full of remaining progress pieces which you are working with and you do not need them any more. So, if you can erase or delete those unnecessary pieces of information, your computer RAM will be cleaned and your computer will be speed up.



Cleaning RAM is very easy task here are steps for it, just follow them:

1). Open notepad.

2). Type FreeMem=Space(64000000).

3). Save file with name "CleanRAM.vbs".

4). Close it and run the file.

It will free memory in RAM, if you want to free more memory than you can write following command in notepad instead of what given in step 2.

FreeMem= (256000000) for 256 mb
FreeMem= (128000000) for 128 mb
FreeMem= (72000000) for 72 mb
FreeMem= (64000000) for 64 mb
FreeMem= (32000000) for 32 mb
FreeMem= (24000000) for 24 mb

Make sure that you don't select the memory that is larger than your memory capacity.

Scan and Replace window's corrupted System Files

If your computer running slowly or not working properly then there may be some problem in its System files. System files are group of program files that work together to run your computer. These files can be changed or corrupted with time, it may corrupts due to installation of softwares, some internal errors or due to viruses, which makes computer slower.

Scan your system files to check if they are working fine or having some errors. In case of damaged system files you can repair or replace them. It can be done by System file checker.


System File Checker is a utility in Microsoft Windows that allows users to scan for and restore corruptions in Windows system files. This utility is available on Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.


Follow these steps to use System file Checker:

1). Go to Run.
2). Type SFC /SCANNOW and click on ok button.
3). It will start scanning proccess and this process takes longer time, it can be more than 30 mins.
4). In case window having some problems, It will display some steps to follow. just follow those steps.

Turn off all system Beeps - Cool Computer Tricks

wanna turn off all cpmputer beeps?? just follow these steps you need to do some changes in registry but its very simple. Follow these steps:


1). Open Run.

2). Type Regedit and press enter.

3). Now window ll ask for your perimission to continue just click on continue.

4). In registry editor window , browse to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Sound


5). Here double click on Beep.

6). Now change the value of beep to No.


7). Close the registry editor and reboot your computer.

Its done.
Changes will be reflected after you reboot your computer.

5). Now in right side panel, double click on AntiVirusDisableNotify and set its value 1.

6). Close the registry editor and restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.

Make Firefox faster - Lower the amount of memory it used

If you have old desktop PC of RAM less than 1 GB and have installed firefox. Then may be you noticed that your computer slow down after its installation. Here is trick to make it faster by decrease the amount of memory it used.


If your computer has ram of 1 gb or more than 1 gb, then you need not to do this.
Follow given steps:
1). Open firefox.

2). In your Firefox address bar, enter the following text: about:config.

3). Scroll down to the entry titled browser.cache.memory.enable and make sure the Value is set to true. If it’s not, double-click anywhere in the browser.cache.memory.enable line and the status will change to true.

4). Now Right-click anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer.


5). Enter preference name as browser.cache.memory.capacity in the New integer value window.


6). Click OK.

7). Now you have to enter a number in the Enter integer value, but that number depends on how much memory you have , how much you want to give Firefox. If you have 256MB or less RAM, enter 4096 as the value. If you have 512MB of RAM, enter 6144 or 8192.


8). Click OK.

Its done.

Restart firefox and seee then changes. It must be much faster now..

Enable or Disable Control Panel

If your friends, childrens or family members use your computer and you do not want them to change any system setting then best way for this is to disable Control Panel. To disable control panel you have to do some changes in Regisstry. Just follow these steps:



1). Go to Run and type regedit.

2). Now window will ask for your permission to continue Click on Continue

3). Now in registry editor window, Browse to given User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer]

4). Here create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called NoControlPanel set the value to equal 1 to enable the restriction.


5). Now again browse to following System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]

6). Follow step no 4 to create NoControlPanel dword key.

7). Exit registry editor.

Its done.

you may need to restart for the changes to take effect. This setting allows you to restrict user access to the Control Panel options and settings.

Login automatically in window XP

If your Windows XP installation forces you to login every time you reboot, Sometimes this seems very annoying especially when you are installing a bunch of software or testing out configurations. Now you can automate the login process easily so that you won't have to login again.


For security reasons, you would usually want to have a password, but for a home computer you may not care.

Here are steps to automate the login process in window XP :

1). Go to the Start menu, click Run, and type control userpasswords2.

2). Uncheck this box user must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

3 ). Click the OK button.

Its Done.

A password dialog will open for the currently logged in user. Now when you reboot your system, you will automatically be logged in.

Delete undeletable files in windows XP and Vista


Some files and folders are undeletable for example virus affected files and folders, when we try to delete them, it will show an error message like Cannot delete file: the file is in use by the other program or it can be like Disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use or any other such kind error message. Now here is trick to delete such kind of files
for this you simply need to download a freeware tool called Unlocker.
You can download this free. Follow these steps:



1). Download unlocker and then install it.

2). After installation, right click on file or folder that you want to delete.

3). Select the option Unlocker.

4). If your requested file or folder is used or locked by other application then a small window listing of lockers will appear.

5). Here simply click on Unlock All button.

6). Now you can easily delete this file by just pressing delete button of your keyboard.

Move Taskbar to new Spot - Cool Computer Trick


By default, Microsoft's Windows taskbar, which shows buttons for each of your open windows, present at the bottom of your screen. If you do multitasking and open many windows, more than six or seven windows at a time, then taskbar become extremely crowded. To make more space for windows, move your taskbar to the right or left side of the screen, where it will be displayed vertically. Its very convirnt as well as it will give new look to your computer.


Follow these Steps to move your taskbar:


1). Right click on taskbar and if your taskbar is locked (check mark on lock the taskbar), then click on lock the taskbar to unlock it.

2). Move the taskbar by just dragging it on screen, You can move anywhere left, right, top and bottom by just dragging it.

3). You can also change the width of taskbar by clicking on edge of taskbar.

4). Now right click on taskbar and click lock the taskbar.
